Engineering Hubris: a haiku

Adapted from xkcd, a haiku about engineering hubris:

I can't help thinking
With all Coyote's supplies
I'd catch Road Runner.

Mokalus of Borg

PS - Hubris = arrogance.
PPS - I had to look that one up.

By all means, catching the Road Runner should've been no difficult feat. But the Roadrunner seems to have the inexplicable ability to alter the laws of physics and turn Wile E.'s machines against him. I probably would've just hung out on the side of a road with a shotgun. Or just ordered pizza with all that money.

Indeed. That's no ordinary Road Runner we have there. The best theory I can forward is that there never was a Road Runner. Wile E. Coyote spent so long in the desert sun with no food that he started hallucinating some tasty quarry to hunt. But he never caught it because it was never there. I suppose eventually he just starved in the middle of nowhere.
