I've had a couple of conversations with people where it sounds like they're mis-pronouncing my online moniker. Since it's more usually written than spoken, this is understandable. But since it's one of my names, it puts me off-balance somehow. So, for anyone who's been wondering, here's your one-stop guide to pronouncing "Mokalus":
Mo: First syllable, as if short for "moustache", or like the Stooge.
Ka: As an Australian would pronounce "car" - without the "r".
Lus: Short "u" sound and traditional consonants.
Mokalus of Borg
PS - That's approximately "moh-KA-lus".
PPS - I've heard "MOCK-less" and "MOCK-al-us" in person.
