It's a social experiment

A new game to play: try to get odd looks from newsagency employees by buying an odd collection of magazines. The temptation is to go for something inoffensive like Australian Cross-Stitch Monthly and couple it with Hardcore [Butt] Tattoos, but then it looks like a cover for really wanting the hardcore mag. You could try Business Review Weekly and Girlfriend, but then it looks like you're buying for you and your teenage daughter. It's a tricky game.

PS - Perhaps the best bet would be to go political - far conservative and liberal together.
PPS - But then you could be a political columnist staying informed.

I always found that buying large quantities of magazines from the same genre, preferably something at complete opposite to your attire.

Perhaps walking in looking like Kurt Cobain, and buying up all the girlfriend, dolly, and other simlar crap magazines. Or a good little school girl going along the lines of your "hardcore ass tatoos" style magazine.

Of course we are all ignoring the easiest possible combination (although most difficult to want to do) is purchase large amounts of pornogaphy. But again, that is probably the least likely to happen!
